Water Purification Drops
First, a little background on the chemistry.
For more than 100 years clinics and hospitals have used the active ingredients in this liquid to sterilize hospital floors, tables, equipment, and other items. When the Water Purification Drops (WPD) are mixed with citric acid it changes to a stabilized form of Chlorine Dioxide and becomes a powerful water treatment chemical and it is recognized as a superior water disinfectant alternative to chlorine.
Chlorine dioxide and chlorine are not the same.
- Chlorine is a chemical element. In ion form, chlorine is part of common salt and other compounds, and necessary to most forms of life, including human. A powerful oxidizing agent, it is the most abundant dissolved ion in ocean water, and readily combines with nearly every other element, including sodium to form salt crystals, and magnesium, as magnesium chloride.
- Chlorine dioxide is a chemical compound that consists of one chlorine ion bound to two ions of oxygen. In this form it is known as one of the most powerful oxidizing agents available and is currently being used by hundreds of thousands of people.
Oxidizing agents are chemical compounds that readily accept electrons from “electron donors.” They gain electrons via chemical reaction. This is important because relative to chlorine dioxide, all pathogens and heavy metals are electron donors. Once those electrons are gone, the pathogens and heavy metals cease to be a problem and are reduced to waste materials.
Chlorine dioxide is approved by the Environmental Protection Agency in safely removing pathogens and contaminates like anthrax.
The “Water Purification Drops” are 28% sodium chlorite in distilled water.
The 28% sodium chlorite liquid when mixed with a liquid food acid such as citric acid, lemon juice or limejuice becomes chlorine dioxide.
How to Mix the Water Purification Drops (WPD):
Add five drops of one of the following activators to each one-drop of WPD. Wait 3 to 5 minutes, add water & use within 1 Hr.
Activators are: citric acid, fresh lime juice, or fresh lemon juice. The activator makes the Water Purifier more effective than only relying on the acid content of the water to activate it. Usually start with 1 to 2 drops of the Water Purifier in a clean dry glass and increase the drops as you choose depending on the source of the water.
